Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for completion of the following items in addition to those listed in the Job Description (see above).
- All paraeducators must havecompleted the ETS Praxisorobtained an AA Degreeorhave earned 72 quarter/48 semester creditsorhave completed a registered apprenticeship programprior to applying for a paraeducator position in the East Valley School District (documentation required at time of application).
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Monitor the Reset Room (In-School Suspension).
- Assist the building secretaries with student data entry including discipline and student attendance
- Track and run reports for student detention hours as well as un-resolved detention and provide assistance in the tardy referral process.
- Report to the building principal students who have met BECCA criteria.
- Complete forms record information accurately and perform secretarial tasks as needed for the program.
- Be responsible for constructive classroom management and environment.
- Maintain appropriate student records.
- Manage student behavior in the classroom by invoking approved disciplinary procedures.
- Work daily with students in accordance with scheduled times.
- Facilitate and complete learning experiences designated by the teacher.
- Record progress of students on daily task sheets.
- Will utilize district software programs including; Skyward Word Excel and SMI.
- Maintain appropriate student records and other records as directed.
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students equipment materials and facilities.
- Required to have a current First Aid/CPR Card.
- Must be able to provide proof of immunization if born on or after 1/1/1957.
