Temporary Research Aide PFAS Research

The College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University is seeking a Temporary Research Aide to support an important public health research initiative focused on analyzing PFAS in well water samples across New York State. This position will play a key role in participant outreach engagement and project coordination to help ensure the successful collection and management of study data.

Responsibilities Include

• Recruiting communicating with and supporting study participants throughout the project.
• Coordinating participant records communications and project documentation.
• Assisting with data collection tracking and management activities.
• Supporting GIS-related tasks mapping and spatial data organization.
• Responding to participant inquiries and providing exceptional customer service.
• Collaborating with project staff to ensure timelines and project goals are met.
• Assisting with administrative and operational tasks that support the research team.
• Other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong writing and oral skills required.
• Experience organizing information maintaining records and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a project team.
• Familiarity with GIS software and spatial data concepts is preferred but not required.

Position Details

• This is full-time onsite temporary position offering up to 40 hours per week in Ithaca NY
• Expected duration: 24 months
• The anticipated pay rate is $20 - $30/hr
