Job Summary
The Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a part-time Research Assistant to support a clinical study focused on client communication within the Orthopedic Surgery Service. The ideal candidate is flexible organized has prior research experience and is interested in veterinary medicine.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Recruit eligible study participants during clinical appointments in collaboration with clinicians and residents.
- Introduce clients to the research study explain study procedures and assist with obtaining participation.
- Collect organize and maintain confidential research data in accordance with study protocols.
- Conduct follow-up phone calls with study participants and document responses accurately.
- Coordinate closely with the principal investigator orthopedic clinicians and surgical residents to support successful study execution.
- Assist with data management and ensure research records remain accurate organized and up to date.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree or equivalent.
- Previous experience supporting research projects including data collection and data management.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
Position Details
- This is a part-time 1-year temporary position offering up to 19 hours/wk with the specific schedule to be determined between you and the hiring manager.
- The anticipated pay rate is $20/hr
- This position is not eligible for Cornell benefits
- This is an onsite position located in Ithaca NY
- We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
