Job Summary
Responsibilities
Coordinate payroll processing schedules and review payroll data to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Input maintain and audit employee payroll records including multi-state tax setups earnings and deductions while ensuring data confidentiality. Support payroll system configuration updates testing troubleshooting and user access management. Generate payroll reports and maintain payroll procedures records and documentation. Organize and maintain payroll records for internal and external audits. Assist with compliance activities including multi-state payroll tax documentation state registrations and year-end processes (e.g. W-2 preparation and distribution). Respond to employee payroll inquiries and assist with payroll forms issue resolution and related support. Collaborate with Payroll Human Resources Finance and IT teams to support efficient payroll operations. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration Human Resources or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 13 years of payroll or payroll administration experience preferred including exposure to multi-state payroll and tax processing (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Experience with HRIS and/or payroll systems (e.g. Banner Workday ADP ). Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data management. Working knowledge of payroll processes multi-state tax regulations and wage-and-hour compliance requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools. Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting payroll system implementations upgrades or conversions. Certified Payroll Professional ( CPP ) or Fundamental Payroll Certification ( FPC ). Experience conducting or supporting payroll audits and compliance reviews.
