Temporary Finance Support Liaison (Part-Time)

This position will support Pepperdines Finance Department in supporting University-wide adherence to Pepperdines University Financial Policies and support the Controllership Team with logistical and procedural needs.

Duties

• Responsible for coordinating the Universitys financial policy exception process in collaboration with the University controller acting with tact diplomacy and discretion on a variety of complex and sensitive issues.
• Produce monitor and reconcile reports; research identify and resolve discrepancies; support Controllership departments including accounts payable and purchasing and assist with project management and tracking.
• Formulate spreadsheets and develop documents and correspondence for presentations conferences seminars and reports.
• Coordinate and facilitate departmental meetings and events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Uphold University mission through work performed.

Required:

• Bachelors degree.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong administrative support skills.
• Strong computer skills MS Office Suite Adobe AcrobatAbility to organize prioritize and perform work while under pressure.
• Ability to proactively address issues and take initiative and ownership of projects.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive matters.
• Ability to routinely and independently exercise sound judgment in making decisions.
• Ability to work effectively with University administrators Regents faculty staff students vendors attorneys and government officials.

Preferred:

• Experience as office manager executive assistant or administrative assistant.

This is a Temporary Nonexempt 10-20 hour per week position.

Expected Pay Range: $18.47 - $25.00 per hour

The above pay range reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this position at time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant factors such as work experience market conditions education/training and skill level.
