Overall responsibility

TheTemporary Food Service Driver is responsible for the delivery of food and supplies for the food service department to each of the schools in the district. Thetemporary food service driver also aids each head cook in organizing their storage rooms freezers and refrigerators.

Key areas of responsibility

• Transportation and delivery of frozen fresh and shelf-stable foods and other supplies
• Loading and unloading of the food service van
• Safely and efficiently storing food in the proper area (freezer refrigerator storage room)
• Periodically organize and purge freezers refrigerators and storage rooms

Consults with

• Full-Time Food Service Driver
• Head Cook/Kitchen Manager/Inventory Manager
• Head Cook/Kitchen Manager
• Food Service Director and Staff

Term of Employment

• 30hours a week

Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts Drivers License
• Clean driving record
• Strong sense of customer service
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds
• Courteous friendly demeanor
• Must pass a CORI check
• Must pass Fingerprint check
• Current authorization to work in the United States
