GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is seeking multiple Temporary Construction Technicians in and around the Kemmerer area toperform basic construction tasks under supervision to provide a safe and effective transportationsystem. Thisis a temporary full-time position that could last up to 6 months.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed in the job level.- Construction tasks include performing basic lab tests and survey procedures.
- Perform construction inspections.
- Prepare and check computations and data.
- Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
Preference may be given to individuals who can perform algebraic calculations.
KNOWLEDGE:- Knowledge of materials testing.
- Knowledge of surveying methods and equipment operations.
- Knowledge of construction inspection which includes interpretation of plans and specifications.
- Skill in the use of computers.
- Strong math skills are required.
- Ability to perform algebraic calculations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- This position requires working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Individuals in this classification must be available for emergency work calls at any time including nights weekends and holidays with a response time of no greater than 30 minutes. Acceptance of an appointment to this classification signifies that the individual is aware of this requirement and will comply with it.
