Position: Temporary Compliance Associate
Department: Youth Development and Opportunity
Reports to: Executive Director of YDO
Hours: 15 hours/week
Salary:$25 per hour
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Location: Washington Community Center
Union Settlements Youth Development and Opportunity Department is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Temporary Compliance Associate to support the departments compliance documentation monitoring and administrative functions.
The Compliance Associate will assist with ensuring that departmental programs and operations adhere to applicable organizational contractual regulatory and programmatic requirements. This position will work closely with program leadership and administrative staff to review records maintain documentation monitor compliance requirements and support the preparation of materials for internal and external reviews.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills attention to detail discretion in handling confidential information and the ability to manage multiple priorities within established deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Review OCSF program and administrative documentation for completeness accuracy and compliance with applicable requirements.
- Assist with maintaining organized and up-to-date compliance files records and supporting documentation.
- Monitor required program documents certifications forms reports and other compliance-related materials.
- Assist program staff with identifying missing incomplete or outdated documentation and tracking outstanding items through resolution.
- Support periodic internal compliance reviews and quality assurance activities.
- Assist with preparing documentation and records for audits monitoring visits funder reviews and other compliance-related requests.
- Maintain compliance tracking tools spreadsheets and other department monitoring systems.
- Review data and documentation for inconsistencies and communicate identified concerns to appropriate department leadership.
- Assist with the development and implementation of corrective action plans when compliance gaps are identified.
- Support the Executive Director with special compliance-related projects and administrative assignments.
- Collaborate with program managers and other department staff to promote consistent adherence to policies procedures and contractual requirements.
- Perform other duties related to compliance and departmental operations as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in compliance quality assurance program administration auditing nonprofit operations or related field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to identify discrepancies or missing information.
- Excellent organizational written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office particularly Excel Word and Outlook.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Experience working in a nonprofit youth-serving education or community-based organization is preferred.
