Temporary Art Teacher

We are seeking a compassionate creative and flexible Art Teacher to join our team as a maternity leave replacement. The Art Teacher will work with students across multiple age groups and ability levels adapting lessons to meet individual needs while fostering creativity confidence and self-expression through visual art.

What Youll Need

• Bachelors degree in Art Education Fine Arts Special Education or a related field (Masters preferred)

• Experience working with children with special needs and/or autism strongly preferred

• Understanding of sensory-sensitive teaching strategies and differentiated instruction

• Strong classroom management skills with a calm patient and empathetic approach

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

What Youll Do

• Plan and deliver engaging developmentally appropriate art lessons tailored to the students needs and developmental capacity

• Adapt instruction and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles sensory needs and motor abilities

• Create a supportive structured and inclusive classroom environment

• Collaborate with classroom teachers therapists and support staff to align art instruction with the schools DIRFloortime principles.

• Maintain a safe and organized art classroom and manage supplies

• Schedule: Monday Thursday Friday- 8-3:30 Tuesday Wednesday- 8-4:30
