- Description of Job
Duties:
- Perform daily cleaning sanitizing and servicing of assigned work area as per assigned work schedule and procedures in use at the Facility by utilizing approved disinfectants cleaners associated chemicals and equipment. Procedures to consist of the established 7-step Program Routine. Performs floor work including scrubbing spot cleaning and shampooing.
- In a method timely to the Facility handle sort load unload fold assign hang iron repair mend label and distribute the Residents laundry and Facility linen. Utilize approved disinfectants cleaners detergents bleaching agents soft/sour agents spotters and associated chemicals. Know and follow procedures in Universal Precautions as well as the programming of all Laundry Equipment. Keep work-related records. Assist with minor maintenance assignments i.e. changing lamps changing filters snow removal light groundskeeping duties etc
- Minimum Qualifications Substitutions Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights
Minimum Qualifications: 6 months experience cleaning in a business medical or industrial setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous custodial experience in a long-term care or hospital facility preferred.
Previous experience in commercial laundry processing
Paying attention to detail strong time management skills and ability to handle
multiple tasks.Working in a team environment to complete daily workloads and provide support
when necessary outside of assigned areas.Excellent customer service skills to include communication with and responding to
all levels of employees.- Conditions of Employment:

- CDHS Selection Process ExplanationEmployment history is calculated on a full-time basis (40/hrs per week). Part-time employment is calculated on a prorated basis to determine qualifications.
