We are currently hiring a Temporary Yard Worker to assist with daily operations at our facility.

Job Description

The Yard Laborer will help maintain an organized clean and safe work yard while supporting the preparation and movement of materials and equipment.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Building and assembling cages

• Cleaning and organizing the yard

• Loading and unloading trucks

• Moving stacking and organizing materials

• Assisting with general yard and shop duties as needed

• Maintaining a safe and orderly work area

• Following all company safety procedures

This is an entry-level position. No previous experience is required although experience with outdoor labor construction warehouse work or material handling is a plus.

Qualifications

• Valid drivers license preferred

• Ability to follow instructions and work safely

• Dependable and punctual

• Effective communication skills

• Ability to work well as part of a team

• Willingness to perform a variety of tasks as daily needs change

Skills and Experience

The following experience is helpful but not required:

• Construction or general labor experience

• Loading and unloading materials

• Using hand and power tools

• Operating equipment

• Reading a tape measure

Work Requirements

• Ability to perform manual labor in an outdoor environment

• Ability to work in heat sun cold and rain

• Ability to stand walk bend climb reach and lift throughout the workday

• Ability to lift carry push or pull objects weighing up to 75 pounds without assistance

• Ability to work safely around trucks equipment and moving machinery

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The physical demands and work environment described here represent those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of the position.

The employee will frequently be required to stand walk bend climb reach grasp tools and use their hands and arms to move or assemble materials. The employee may work near moving vehicles and mechanical equipment and may be exposed to dust fumes airborne particles and moderate to loud noise levels.
