NOTE: This role is based in New York City and encourages a minimum of two days per week in the SoHo office. Some roles or teams may require additional in-office attendance if the essential functions of the role require it.

THE OPPORTUNITY

An administrative position that helps track coordinate and provide reporting on major cross divisional initiatives within the Childrens Book Group and the Education supporting their execution and results. The candidate works with the Director of Cross Channel Marketing on key functions including advance P&L commitments Childrens Book Group brand and marketing approvals the creation of special market formats for school channels to support publishing strategy and seasonal Trade publishing grids that provide data to assist decision-making.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and track to inform Trade title acquisitions. Liaise between Trade editors and School Reading Events (SRE) Product Category Managers to solicit the estimates for future Trade projects and provide reporting.

  • Manage and track character text and copyright approvals a year for School Reading Events working across multiple departments to align with brand requirements and to support more visibility for Trade IP in Clubs and Fairs. Supply key Trade assets as required.

  • Develop seasonal Trade publication master gridsthat consolidate key information for SRE and the Ed Solutions group ensuring alignment on crosschannel usage timing and scheduling of Trade titles to support and inform overall strategy.

  • Ensure SRE title uses are accurately recorded in enterprise systems coordinating closely with Trade Production Editors and SRE Category Managers.

  • Assist Director with Cross Channel seasonal format requests and approvals helping coordinate troubleshoot and execute the final list.

  • Maintain and update department spreadsheets and documents as needed.
