Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the integration of telematics hardware and software systems into industrial truck platforms.
• Integrate and Validate Truck Level features such as:
  • Access control (RFID PIN telematics-based authentication)
  • Geo-fencing and location-aware restrictions
  • Operator-based speed and performance control
  • User-friendly man-machine interfaces (MMI/HMI)
  • OTA Updates
• Implement system architectures connecting telematics modules with CANbus networks (CAN Open and J1939 Protocols) across electric and IC engine platforms as well as non-CANbus platforms.
• Work closely with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to ensure seamless physical and electrical integration of telematics devices.
• Design and execute Vehicle-level validation
• Perform data analysis and diagnostics on CANbus signals telematics data streams and system performance issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across hardware firmware and vehicle systems.
• Support field trials and customer deployments providing technical expertise and feedback loops for continuous improvement.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in telematics embedded systems or vehicle system integration.
• Proven experience working with CANbus protocols diagnostics and networked vehicle systems.

• Strong understanding of both:
  • Electrical systems (wiring sensors controllers)
  • Mechanical systems (vehicle interfaces mounting environmental considerations)
• Experience integrating telematics features such as access control geo-fencing and operator-based controls.
• Hands-on experience with design validation and verification processes including test plan development and execution.
• Familiarity with both electric and internal combustion vehicle platforms.
• Experience with man-machine interface (MMI/HMI) design and usability considerations.
• Strong problem-solving troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in off-highway industrial or commercial vehicle industries (e.g. forklifts construction equipment AGVs).
• Knowledge of telematics communication technologies (e.g. cellular GPS IoT platforms).
• Experience with embedded software or firmware development (C/C Python or similar).
• Familiarity with functional safety standards (e.g. ISO 13849 ISO 26262 ANSI B56).
• Experience with data analytics cloud platforms or fleet management systems.
• Understanding of vehicle electrification systems including batteries motor controllers and charging infrastructure.
