Job Summary

The Splicing Manager / Supervisor provides in-market field-based oversight of fiber-optic splicing crews across multiple project locations. This role is responsible for directing day-to-day splicing activities coordinating workflow ensuring quality and safety compliance and serving as the primary field point of contact. The position is travel-heavy and focused on leadership guidance and accountability.

This role requires travel to various markets on the East Coast as needed. Were looking for someone with a decent grasp of day-to-day splicing.

• Be physically present in assigned markets to oversee daily splicing operations
• Direct and prioritize splicing crews day-to-day activities and work plans
• Serve as the main field liaison between splicing crews project management and construction teams
• Ensure splicing work is performed according to project specifications quality standards and schedules
• Monitor progress productivity and workmanship throughout the workday
• Review and verify splice documentation test results and as-built information
• Identify and resolve field issues and resource needs
• Enforce safety compliance and jobsite standards in accordance with OSHA and company policies
• Report daily production status issues and manpower needs to management

• 4 years of fiber-optic splicing experience
• Prior experience leading or supervising splicing crews
• Strong understanding of OSP splicing processes quality standards and testing requirements
• Ability to interpret fiber prints splice diagrams and route maps
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Comfortable traveling and remaining in project markets as needed
• Proficient with field documentation tools and basic computer applications
• Valid drivers license and ability to travel
