We invite potential candidates for this position to learn more about Evergreen Community Charter School by exploring our website DescriptionEvergreen Community Charter School is seeking a creative flexible and student-centered Technology and Media Arts Teacher to work with students in grades 28. This position supports students in developing foundational technology skills digital literacy media creation skills and responsible use of technology in a hands-on project-based learning position also includes an important school media component. The Technology and Media Arts Teacher helps document and celebrate the life of the school through video photography and digital ideal candidate is has experience teaching or working with a wide range of learners enjoys working across grade levels and can help students build confidence with computers digital tools creative media and emerging be creative organized patient and comfortable working in a busy school environment where no two days are exactly alike. They should enjoy helping students move from basic technology use toward meaningful creation. They should be able to balance direct instruction with hands-on exploration and understand that technology class is not just about devices but about communication creativity problem-solving and responsible participation in the digital person should also be comfortable being part teacher part media creator part documentarian and part problem-solver. They will play an important role in helping students learn technology skills while also helping the school tell its story through photos videos student work and community Qualifications: Bachelors degree in a related field Preferred Qualifications: NC teacher licensure (or eligibility for one) is preferred but not required. Candidates with strong experience working with children teaching technology leading creative media projects or supporting school-based digital learning will also be considered. Training or experience in Google Workspace for Education digital citizenship media literacy video production photography yearbook production coding 3D design 3D printing or AI-supported experience that supports connections with groups of students who have diverse racial and ethnic identities flexibility and sensitivity to the varied physical mental and emotional needs of all students and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning ProcessSend letter of interest resume and copy of teaching license to and complete online application form.
