POSITION: HIGH SCHOOL TECHNOLOGY INTERN
RESPONSIBLE TO: TECHNOLOGY DIRECTOR and HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL
JOB GOAL: To provide technical services and direction to ensure the Districts current
systems are maintained in a state of optimal performance in support of the districts
educational process and in support of the development and achievement of District objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Interest/experience in implementing and maintaining hardware software etc.
Interest/experience in troubleshooting & maintenance of computer hardware & software
Interest/experience with Windows platforms & other Microsoft products.
Must be self-motivated & able to work alone to complete projects as needed
Ability to communicate clearly & assist staff and students on technology related issues
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board of
Education may find appropriate
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Ability to investigate and solve technical problems independently
Possess high attention to detail
Ability to run terminate and test Ethernet cable
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Ability to interact with colleagues faculty staff and students without conflict
Ability to make timely sound and independent decisions concerning the technology
Ability to take direction and/or constructive criticism in a positive manner
Thorough knowledge of native Microsoft software loaded district systems
Physical capacity to carry and transport heavy equipment (80 pounds)
Ability to work flexible hours in emergency crisis mode
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Complete ongoing technology projects for the district as directed
Manage all helpdesk requests on a timely and efficient manner
Perform other duties as assigned
