Technician II - Fire Equipment Install

(Extinguisher & Kitchen Suppression Systems)

Full-Time Nights for first 6-12 months of training early mornings are possible

M-F paid on call as needed

Job Responsibilities:

• Installs Commercial Cooking Fire Suppression Systems (Kitchen Suppression/Hood Systems d - Ansul and more) for Fox Valley Fire & Safety customers.
• Use basic tools such as screw drivers hammers wire cutters splicing tools and more.
• Perform maintenance and service on Fire Extinguishers.
• Use active listening skills to effectively understand the needs of our customers and internal teams ask questions as appropriate and offer solutions.
• Solves complex problems using mathematical skills analysis and professional communication.
• Manages time efficiently.

Job Requirements:

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Level 1 Illinois Fire Extinguisher License to be obtained upon hire
• Level 2 Kitchen Suppression License to be obtained upon hire
• Regular and dependable attendance.
• Relevant work experience required

Physical Requirements:

• This role requires the individual to stand and walk around job sites for several hours as well as kneeling bending squatting balancing reaching overhead work and placing body in adverse positions.
• Lift or move approximately 50 pounds per day but up to 150-pounds upon occasion.
• Reliable sight hearing verbal communication and touch.
• HSD or equivalent is required

Compensation Information:This is an hourly role starting between $28-$32 hourly for an experienced Technician. This role also offers the opportunity for on call pay overtime hours when available and commission.
