The Technician I - Chemical Processing and Materials Quality Control (Weekday Overnight) is responsible for formulating and delivering reagents to internal production departments using analytical equipment to ensure reagent quality and safely handling hazardous materials.

This position reports to the Manager of Chemistry and Materials Quality Control and is part of the Chemical Processing Team located in San Diego and will be an on-site role.

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

  • Follow current standard operating procedures for formulation storage and transportation of all mixtures and reagents required for production.
  • Change waste containers and dispose of hazardous materials in compliance with Federal and DOT regulations.
  • Use a variety of analytical and sample handling equipment to perform quality control on raw materials mixtures and formulations.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • High School diploma or GED with 18 months of lab experience OR Associates of Arts/Science degree with 1 year lab experience
  • Knowledge of safe chemical handling procedures and protocols

Travel Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to lift move or carry equipment up to 50lbs
  • Ability to wear a full-face air purifying respirator

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Hazwoper 24 hr -Technician Certification
  • ERP systems experience

The hourly range for this role is $23.08 - 30.53. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
