Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer with strong expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) to support a large-scale enterprise cloud transformation initiative. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background in virtualization and private cloud technologies with the ability to translate complex engineering concepts into clear accurate and user-friendly documentation.

This role requires close collaboration with architects engineers and deployment teams to produce high-quality technical documentation covering deployment operations architecture and lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop maintain and enhance technical documentation for VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) deployments including Day 0 Day 1 and operational procedures.
  • Create deployment guides installation manuals reference architectures operational runbooks and best-practice documentation.
  • Partner with architects engineers and subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather technical information and ensure documentation accuracy.
  • Document VMware Cloud Foundation components including SDDC Manager vSphere vSAN NSX and Aria Suite.
  • Simplify complex infrastructure software-defined networking (SDN) and lifecycle management concepts into clear step-by-step documentation.
  • Review and edit technical content to ensure consistency clarity and adherence to documentation standards.
  • Document and maintain security patching procedures upgrade processes and operational changes.
  • Keep documentation current with evolving platform features and deployment methodologies.

Required Qualifications

  • 4 6 years of experience writing technical documentation for enterprise software infrastructure cloud or virtualization technologies.
  • Strong hands-on experience or in-depth knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) deployments and architecture.
  • Solid understanding of VMware technologies including vSphere vSAN NSX and Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) concepts.
  • Experience using documentation and collaboration tools such as Confluence Jira Git or similar platforms.
  • Proven ability to work with technical SMEs to gather information and produce high-quality documentation.
  • Excellent written communication editing and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple documentation deliverables simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience documenting private cloud hybrid cloud or enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure lifecycle management upgrades and security patching processes.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise IT transformation initiatives.
