Job Title: Technical Writer

Location: Remote

Duration: 05 Months

Employment Type: Contract

Pay Rate Range: $65 to $70

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly technical and passionate Technical Writer to lead the documentation of our VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) deployment and architecture this role you will work hand-in-hand with our engineering and deployment teams to create deployment guides reference architectures and operational runbooks for complex private and hybrid cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

Create Deployment Documentation

• Author maintain and refine structured task-based technical documents for VCF deployments Day 0/Day 1 configurations and workload migrations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) systems architects and field engineers to capture complex information and ensure absolute technical accuracy in your drafts.

Platform Specialization

• Document and explain the integration of core VCF components including SDDC Manager vSphere vSAN NSX and Aria Suite.

Simplify the Complex

• Transform intricate infrastructure processes software-defined networking (SDN) and lifecycle management (LCM) into clear step-by-step documentation for enterprise users.

Review and Edit

• Review architectural drafts build guides and best-practice documents enforcing consistency tone and clarity.

Security Patching Documentation

• Document and Track security patching.

Qualifications & Requirements

Writing Experience

• Minimum of 4 6 years of experience researching writing and editing product documentation for enterprise software hardware or IT infrastructure.

Technical VCF Knowledge

• Hands-on experience or deep familiarity with VCF deployment upgrades and software-defined data center (SDDC) components.

Tool Proficiency

• Working knowledge of technical writing and publishing tools such as Jira Git and Confluence.

Cloud & Virtualization Understanding

• Solid foundational understanding of vSphere vSAN and NSX topologies.

Communication Skills

• Ability to explain in writing complex technical concepts concisely with a proven track record of interviewing technical experts to gather details.
