Technical Writer
As a Technical Writer you will support the creation maintenance and improvement of technical documentation for complex equipment and systems. This role will work closely with engineering manufacturing service and product support teams to develop clear accurate and user-friendly documentation for operators technicians and customers.
Responsibilities
- Create edit and maintain technical manuals service guides maintenance procedures and product documentation.
- Review engineering drawings specifications and change documentation to develop clear operating and maintenance instructions.
- Ensure documentation is accurate complete and compliant with applicable industry standards and company requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering manufacturing service and product support teams to gather technical information.
- Support continuous improvement of documentation processes tools and delivery methods.
- Maintain document revisions and updates as products and systems evolve.
- Assist internal teams with technical communication and documentation best practices.
- Support engineering change management activities and documentation updates.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Technical Communication Engineering Technology English or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Experience creating technical documentation for industrial equipment heavy equipment manufacturing or similar industries.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings schematics and technical specifications.
- Strong written communication editing and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technical publishing/document management tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) ERP systems and document control processes.
- Familiarity with Teamcenter Adobe Creative Suite FrameMaker or similar technical publishing software.
- Understanding of mechanical hydraulic electrical and pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of engineering change processes and industry quality standards.
- Experience developing service maintenance or operator documentation for complex equipment.

Pay Range: $50000-$80000 Commensurate with experience
