We are seeking a Technical Training Manager to build lead and scale the technical training function supporting both our internal and external customer this highly visible role you will develop and implement comprehensive training and certification programs that enhance the technical capabilities of field service technicians service partners customers and support teams. Youll play a critical role in improving service quality consistency technician readiness and customer satisfaction across our global service organization.

This role combines deep hands-on technical expertise with modern learning strategies and instructional design practices to drive capability at scale. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills technical acumen and a passion for continuous improvement while thriving in a collaborative customer-focused environment.

This is a hybrid position primarily based out of our Global Support Hub in Rosemont IL. Monday and Friday are remote with Tuesday through Thursday designated as in-office collaboration days. #LI-Hybrid

As our Technical Training Manager you will:

Training Strategy & Leadership

Develop and execute a scalable technical training strategy aligned with company service goals and product roadmap.
Build and lead the technical training function including curriculum development delivery methods and training standards.
Establish training KPIs and performance metrics to measure technician readiness certification progress and service impact.
Partner with service leadership engineering quality and product management teams toidentifytraining needs and priorities.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the training organization.
Coordinate all administrative functions including; invoicing content planningexternal communication marketingsalesand others as needed

Curriculum Development & Delivery

Design andmaintaintechnical training programs forproducts systems diagnostics repairs preventative maintenance and software tools.
Develop blended learning solutions including:Instructor-led training Virtual learningeLearning modules Hands-on workshopsVideo-based instruction
Manage the ALM platform and work cross-functionally with theglobaltraining team
Knowledgelibraries and job aids
Createandmodifycertification programs forinternal andexternalpartners.
Ensure training contentremainscurrent with new product releases engineering updates and field issues.
Standardize training materials assessments and technical documentation.

Technical Expertise & Support

Serve as a subject matter expert on fitness equipment systems troubleshooting diagnostics and repair procedures.
Provideadvanced technical guidance and support to field service teams.
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams toidentifyrecurring service issues and develop targeted training solutions.
Participate in new product introduction (NPI) activities to ensure service readiness.
Support root cause analysis and field performance improvement efforts.

Team Leadership & Development

Lead mentor and develop technical trainers andsupportstaff as the organization grows.
Foster a culture of continuous learning accountability and technical excellence.
Support career path development and technician progression programs.
Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments field observations and service performance metrics.

What Life Fitness / Hammer Strength is looking for in our Technical Training Manager:

Bachelors degree in Engineering Technical Education Business Operations or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
5 years of experience in technical training field service operations technical support or related roles.
3 years of leadership experience managing training programs or technical teams.
Experience developing and delivering technical training programs for field service organizations.
Strong technical knowledge of electromechanical systems diagnostics troubleshooting and repair processes.
Strongpresentation facilitation and communication skillsat alllevelof organization.
Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and digital training platforms.
Strong organizational project management and analytical skills.
Experience with adult learning principles and modern learning methodologies.
Ability to travel (20%) domestically and potentiallyinternationallyif needed

At Life Fitness / Hammer Strength we believe in taking care of our team with a comprehensive total rewards package that includes competitive pay and a range of valuable benefits. The salary range for this position intended for U.S. applicants is $93000 - $135900 actual salary will vary based on applicants education experience skills and abilities. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Rosemont IL and the actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic position is eligible to participate in Life Fitness / Hammer Strengths annual Manager Incentive Plan to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of bonus varies based on company and individual performance goals and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
