Technical Support Technician is responsible for responding to and resolving product support issues for all SunTech Medical customers worldwide on all SunTech products. Builds and tests both assembly of new product and repairs as required by specific procedures and drawings.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Investigate and research complaints for external customers and report findings to internal Management teams.
- Understands the functional operation of our devices to determine causes of non-performance or operational failure
- Must have ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Performs assembly and repairs requiring dexterity and use of a variety of hand tools.
- Performs some electric and soldering assembly.
- Adjusts aligns and fits a variety of component parts to close tolerances.
- Interprets detailed blueprints assembly drawings verbal and written instructions and other documents of similar complexity.
- Decides on fittings and adjustments of parts in assembly and repair within established guidelines.
- Understands the functional operation of the instruments to determine causes of non-performance or operational failure.
- Ability to use electronic test equipment such as a Digital Multi-meter and Variable DC Power Supply
- Perform component level troubleshooting and repairs of printed circuit boards;
- Recipient of Customer complaints and action follow-up utilizing the SunTech Quality system; this will include the origination of customer complaints related CAPAs and related RMAs.
- Ensure that a clean organized and safe production area is maintained
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment/Technical lab
- Being able to work on your feet for an extended period
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- AA AS degree in Engineering technical school or equivalent experience
- Soldering experience with IPC7711/7721 Standard knowledge
- 3 years working in electronics manufacturing facility
- Experience using MS Office Suite
Competencies:
- Excellent ability to troubleshoot with a variety of technical and non-technical customers
- Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines
- Ability to assess problems recommend appropriate solutions and implement them.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
