The Agile Program Manager is responsible for driving simple to complex high priority projects or component phases of larger Application Development programs. They are accountable for delivering projects on time within budget and within scope. This individual will lead and coordinate cross-functional cross-departmental and occasionally cross-company teams that are responsible for all aspects of a project from initiation to closure.
What will you do:
As an Agile Technology Program Manager you will exemplify strong initiative and management skills:
- Lead and Coordinate:You will lead and coordinate cross-functional cross-departmental and occasionally cross-company teams for Digital Payments Solutions driving process improvements and establishing standards for all aspects of a program from initiation to closure.
- Facilitate Essential Ceremonies:Facilitate PI Planning sessions and other critical Agile ceremonies to ensure alignment and collaboration among teams.
- Manage Methodologies:Ensure project methodologies processes and implementation management practices are followed. This includes managing and driving key elements such as:
- Project Schedule
- Risk and Issue Management
- Scope Change Management
- Oversee Budget Management:Manage the program budget which includes understanding and validating estimates tracking cost variances and effectively managing program resources.
- Provide Status Updates:Deliver program status updates including Mission Critical Program Updates (weekly meeting) and Clarity Reporting.
- Communicate Effectively:Provide clear and concise communication about the program both written and verbal to keep stakeholders informed.
- Partner with Teams:Collaborate with Release Management and Product Delivery teams to ensure release readiness and alignment on program goals.
- Support Backlog & Capacity Management:Drive the management of new project flow into development supporting backlog and capacity management initiatives.
- Maintain Forecasting:Create and maintain project and capacity forecasting including allocations and variances to ensure transparency in resource management.
- Utilize Tools:Maintain Clarity (PPM tool) and JIRA management publishing appropriate reports to create program transparency.
What does a successful Agile Technology Program Manager do at Fiserv

- Dependency Management
- Manage the project budget. This includes understanding and validating estimates cost variance tracking and managing project resources effectively.
- Provide Project/Program status i.e. Mission Critical Program Updates (weekly meeting) and Clarity Reporting.
- Provide clear and concise project communication - both written and verbal.
- Partner with Release Management and Product Delivery teams to ensure release readiness
- Ensure adherence to and proper organization usage of project/program management practices in alignment with an agile methodology implementation.
- Support Backlog & Capacity Management through the management of new project flow into development.
- Create and maintain project & capacity forecasting including allocations and variance.
- Maintain Clarity (PPM tool) JIRA Management and publish appropriate reports to create transparency.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent; PMP and/or CSM certification preferred.
- 5 to 7 years of progressive technology program management experience including the management of significant application development programs in a large operating environment.
- Proficiency in Agile Methodology.
- Proven success in delivering programs within budget and specified timeframes while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Ability to handle multiple programs and assignments.
- Meeting Management:Skilled in effectively preparing conducting participating in and following up on business meetings.
- Strategic Planning:Able to identify program interdependencies and synergies; develop alternative approaches contingency plans and actionable strategies for successful implementation.
- Organizational Skills:Capacity to embrace change and quickly adapt to new situations changes in direction and shifting priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Critical Thinking:Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking providing options and recommendations for resolving issues mitigating risks and addressing escalated items.
- Risk Management:Knowledge of processes tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organizations exposure to risks (assets liabilities reputation non-compliance etc.).
