Sherpa 6 has an exciting opportunity for a fast-learning highly driven Technical Project Coordinator/Software Integration Engineer to join our team.


This hybrid role works closely with Portfolio Acquisition Executive Maneuver Ground (PAE MG) Stakeholders Capability Program Executive Ground Soldier Systems (CPE GSS) Program Managers (PMs) Assistant Product Managers (APMs) and ACPE GSS Lines of Effort (LOEs) Academia and Industry members to provide guidance and assistance in facilitating and conducting integration events. As a Soldier Integration Facility (SIF) Project Coordinator and Software Integration Engineer you provide expert knowledge on how to validate test and integrate portfolio equipmentsuch as Nett Warrior (NW) Android Team Awareness Kit (ATAK) and Situational Awareness Sensorsto provide the best possible solution to the fighting forces.


You will serve as a go-to subject matter expert that spans the entire CPE GSS portfolio. You will work hand-in-hand with the operations section in conducting the planning execution and reporting of all hosted integration events while simultaneously actively participating in system architecture design software integration and secure code evaluation. You will also provide knowledge to key leaders visitors and VIPs on the SIF and its mission.


Responsibilities:

Project Coordination & Program Support

  • Coordinate technical projects from planning through execution and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules milestones action item trackers and status reports.
  • Facilitate meetings working groups Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and stakeholder engagements.
  • Prepare meeting agendas minutes project documentation and executive briefings.
  • Track project risks dependencies and mitigation strategies.
  • Support acquisition fielding and integration activities across multiple stakeholders.
  • Maintain project repositories SharePoint sites Microsoft Teams channels and associated documentation.

Technical Integration & Systems Support

  • Support the integration testing and evaluation of tactical communications systems and mission command technologies.
  • Assist with planning and execution of integration events demonstrations exercises and operational assessments.
  • Configure troubleshoot and maintain tactical network environments.
  • Coordinate hardware and software integration efforts among vendors government organizations and operational users.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues impacting interoperability performance or mission effectiveness.
  • Support system architecture reviews technical assessments and configuration management activities.

TAK Ecosystem Support (Required)

  • Configure administer and troubleshoot ATAK WinTAK TAK Server and related TAK applications.
  • Support TAK integrations with tactical radios sensors and mission command systems.
  • Assist with TAK training testing and operational employment.
  • Evaluate and recommend enhancements to TAK-based operational capabilities.
  • Support interoperability testing between TAK systems and external platforms.

Virtualization & Infrastructure Support (Required)

  • Deploy configure and maintain Virtual Machine (VM) environments supporting development testing and operational activities.
  • Manage virtualized Windows and Linux systems.
  • Support virtualization platforms such as VMware Hyper-V VirtualBox or equivalent technologies.
  • Troubleshoot VM performance networking and system integration issues.
  • Coordinate software deployments and system updates within virtualized environments.

Network & Cybersecurity Support

  • Configure firewalls routers switches and tactical networking equipment.
  • Support vulnerability assessments security compliance efforts and configuration audits.
  • Assist with RMF STIG and cybersecurity compliance activities.
  • Monitor systems for operational readiness security issues and performance degradation.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting technical projects systems integration network operations or related programs.
  • 10 years of experience in Combat Arms at least 5 years in TOE IBCT/SBCT/SOF Units (USMC) or 10 years equivalent experience.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance required.
  • Associate degree in Information Technology Computer Science Engineering Project Management or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple technical efforts simultaneously.
  • Experience supporting government DoD or military programs.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with the TAK ecosystem (ATAK WinTAK TAK Server) is required.
  • Hands-on experience deploying managing and troubleshooting Virtual Machines (VMs) is required.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Familiarity with tactical communications systems and radio integration.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP routing switching and wireless communications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
  • Understanding of software testing troubleshooting and configuration management processes.

Communication & Leadership

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to brief technical and non-technical stakeholders including senior government personnel.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet project deadlines.
  • Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience supporting tactical network modernization initiatives.
  • Experience with Nett Warrior mission command systems or tactical communications programs.
  • Experience with cloud technologies containerization or DevSecOps environments.
  • Knowledge of military operational environments and tactical communications architecture.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Security or related certifications.
  • 15 yrs Experience supporting the Army SOCOM or other DoD organizations.

Salary Range

The proposed salary range is reflective across all Sherpa 6 locations years of experience and skill levels. Salary negotiations will be based on a host of factors including but not limited to your geographic location prior experience relevant skills education and certifications.
