Job Summary
As a Technical Partner Engineer you will serve as the technical authority for partnernintegrations working closely with smart home accessory manufacturers to ensurenseamless implementation of Apple Home technologies. You will focus heavily onnsystem-level debugging and issue resolution analyzing interactions across hardwarenfirmware networking stacks and cloud interfaces to identify root causes using lognanalysis protocol tracing and end-to-end will apply deep expertise in Thread Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) tondiagnose connectivity performance and interoperability issues across real-worldnenvironments. Familiarity with the Matter protocol is essential as you will guide partnersnin building compliant reliable and interoperable will evaluate implementations identify design gaps early and recommend scalable solutions aligned with Apples standards for quality and user will independently drive technical workstreams manage complex issue backlogsnand ensure timely resolution of critical blockers. Close collaboration with internalnengineering teams will be key to resolving platform-level issues and strengthening thenoverall Apple Home addition to debugging you will provide hands-on technical guidance on architecturensystem design and embedded connectivity best practices. nnThis role requires strong ownership the ability to operate autonomously in ambiguousnenvironments and a passion for solving complex system-level challenges to delivernhighly reliable and interoperable
Serve as the primary technical interface for smart home accessory partners enabling successful integration of Apple Home technologies into partner products. nLead end-to-end technical engagements with partners including architecture reviews implementation guidance and validation to ensure high-quality interoperable solutions.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Electrical Engineering or related field. n3 5 years of experience in embedded software systems engineering or technical partner engineering roles. nStrong foundation in embedded systems engineering including hardwaresoftware integration. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system issues across networking stacks and device interactions. nHands-on experience with Thread Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) radio technologies along with proficiency in protocol analysis tools packet sniffers and log analysis workflows. Experience working with external partners or OEMs driving programs from concept to launch managing dependencies timelines and delivery of consumer hardware products. nExcellent problem-solving skills with a methodical and data-driven approach to debugging. Effective communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical issues and solutions to both internal and external stakeholders.n
