Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Technical Network Consultant Routing & Switching to design implement optimize and support enterprise network infrastructures across hybrid environments including on-premise data centers and public cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in routing and switching technologies data center networking cloud connectivity network security integration and multi-vendor enterprise environments.
- This role involves working closely with customers architects operations teams and cloud engineers to deliver scalable secure and resilient network solutions aligned with business and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Design & Architecture
- Design and implement enterprise routing and switching solutions for campus branch and data center environments.
- Develop hybrid connectivity architectures integrating on-premise infrastructure with cloud providers such as AWS Azure and Google Cloud.
- Create high-availability and scalable network topologies using modern networking principles.
- Participate in network transformation migration and modernization initiatives.
- Routing & Switching Operations
- Configure optimize and troubleshoot:
- Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks
- VLANs STP VPC/MLAG
- OSPF BGP EIGRP IS-IS
- VXLAN EVPN architectures
- MPLS and SD-WAN environments
- Support network performance tuning capacity planning and resiliency improvements.
- Data Center Networking
- Deploy and support data center switching platforms and spine-leaf architectures.
- Implement and manage technologies such as:
- Cisco Nexus
- ACI
- Arista EOS
- Juniper QFX
- VMware NSX integration
- Ensure seamless connectivity between compute storage virtualization and cloud workloads.
- Cloud Networking
- Design and maintain cloud network connectivity including:
- VPNs
- Direct Connect / ExpressRoute / Interconnect
- Transit Gateways
- Cloud firewalls and load balancers
- Support hybrid and multi-cloud networking strategies.
- Collaborate with cloud engineering teams on infrastructure automation and IaC initiatives.
- Consulting & Customer Engagement
- Engage with customers to understand technical and business requirements.
- Conduct workshops assessments and network health checks.
- Provide technical leadership during implementations and migrations.
- Develop low-level and high-level design documents runbooks and operational procedures.
- Troubleshooting & Support
- Perform root cause analysis for complex network incidents.
- Provide escalation support for critical production environments.
- Utilize monitoring and diagnostic tools to ensure network availability and SLA compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or related field.
- 7 years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking and data center environments.
- Strong expertise in routing and switching protocols and architectures.
- Experience with hybrid cloud networking solutions.
- Proven experience in multi-vendor environments including Cisco Juniper Arista or VMware networking technologies.
- Strong understanding of network security fundamentals and segmentation strategies.
- Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
