Ford is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Low Pressure Fuel System Technical Leader to serve as the technical authority for low pressure fuel systems driving design robustness reliability and compliance through disciplined application of Fords Core Engineering Process.

Core Process & Technical Documentation
- Manage the overall Fuel compliance to the Ford Core Engineering Excellence Process including P-Diagram RCL (Requirements Cascade/Checklist) DFMEA DT (Design Team) reviews RQT (Reliability Qualification Testing) TM (Technical Memo) SCCAF (Special Characteristics/Control and Corrective Action Framework) and ES (Engineering Specifications)
- Champion the Tech Club process and own the Tech Club sign-off ensuring designs are properly reviewed challenged and approved by technical experts before advancing
What youll do...
Reliability Quality & Problem Resolution
- Lead recall investigations and resolution including root cause analysis corrective action development and cross-functional coordination
- Lead prevent-reoccurrence actions ensuring systemic fixes are implemented and validated across affected programs
- Lead reliability testing planning and execution for low pressure fuel system components and subsystems
- Lead problem resolution and DV (Design Verification) failure corrective actions driving disciplined root cause analysis and closure
- Lead technical solutions to warranty issues using A3/8D partnering with quality service and field teams to diagnose and resolve field concerns
Innovation & Team Development
- Lead evaluation of TVM (Trade-off/Technology Value Management) ideas and sourcing through standard evaluation and cross-design evaluation processes
- Train the application team in proper usage of Core Process documents (P-Diagram DFMEA RCL DT RQT TM SCCAF ES)
- Provide technical mentorship and leadership to engineers on Core Process discipline problem solving and reliability methods
Qualifications
Youll have...
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
10 years of relevant engineering experience.
Extensive fuel system design and release experience.
Must prepare a technical evidence book.
Even better you may have...
- Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Deep familiarity with Ford Core Process tools and application (P-Diagram DFMEA RCL DT RQT TM SCCAF ES).
- Strong structured problem-solving experience (e.g. 8D root cause analysis methodologies).
- Excellent presentation and communication skills with ability to influence cross-functional and leadership audiences.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidates skills and experience and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope responsibility and competitive market value.
