Job Description Summary
As a Technical Leader within the HA Blades Hot Gas Path team you will be responsible for the technical execution of critical HA Blade initiatives. Your scope will span a diverse array of projects including NPIs MYAs repair developments P2V initiatives RCAs and CAPAs and broader Services and Supply Chain support. You will lead impactful engineering efforts ranging from new component design and performance-focused redesigns to life evaluations life extensions and recovery and product cost-out assessments. Success in this role requires collaboration across a wide network including Systems Services Product Management Global Supply Chain and the Repair Center of Excellence. You will act as the technical focal ensuring that the design meets all technical requirements. This role requires consistent application of sound engineering judgment to navigate trade-offs and drive technical decisions to ensure designs meet requirements. Beyond project delivery you will serve as a mentor actively teaching and developing technical skillsets to operate as a high performing team.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of the design and evaluation of assigned hardware using sound engineering practices and adhering to business standards practices procedures and product / program requirements.
  • Provide technical oversight and mentorship to the team ensuring designs and deliverables comply with all requirements throughout design release procurement/fabrication assembly and testing
  • Lead day-to-day operations and follow-up to ensure deliverables and commitments are met.
  • Lead team by providing guidance regarding quality timely completion of work and reviews appropriate use of resources and responsiveness to customer and program needs
  • Collaborate cross functionally and maintain a broad Systems thinking approach informing internal customers impacted by technical decisions
  • Communicate technical issues within Turbine Module team and as well as with interfacing organizations such as Clearances Aerodynamics Heat Transfer Manufacturing Sourcing Suppliers Materials Engineering Systems Engineering and Customer Service Engineering.
  • Participate and present in formal and informal technical reviews for all design tasks and output with Controlled Title Holders

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering / Science from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of professional experience in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering / Science field)
  • Minimum of 8 years Engineering Experience

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position the pay range for this position is between $113200.00 and $188800.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
