Technical Consultant – ArcGIS (Mission-Focused)

Esri has a Relocation Assistance Program and can provide support with relocating to the Redlands CA area for this position.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with customers and partners to identify design and certify key GIS workflows for the ArcGIS platform
• Provide platform configuration guidance and best practices to customers regarding innovative solutions using Esri technology and content to help them make better decisions
• Identify the value of location within customer workflows and drive substantial return on their investment in Esris enterprise platform and services
• Recommend relevant strategies architectures and solutions and work with customers to prepare implementation and migration strategies
• Present complex GIS technical demonstrations to various levels of staff in a diverse range of customer organizations
• Collaborate with customer IT organizations to align their technical objectives and business goals with Esris technology enterprise

Requirements

• 5 years of professional experience in a similar position supporting similar responsibilities
• Professional experience designing implementing and/or administrating enterprise GIS solutions/systems that leverage the ArcGIS platform (Desktop Server and Online)
• Proven experience leveraging Esris software capabilities including mapping field operations spatial analysis and data science 3D visualization and analytics data management and developer APIs
• Pro-actively craft and propose solutions that clarify how GIS brings business value to address critical business challenges faced by customers specifically in the Intelligence domain
• Proven experience with GIS workflow automation patterns
• Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas whether to other technical peers or non-technical peers project managers and/or customers
• Exceptional interpersonal written/verbal communication multi-tasking and presentation skills
• US citizenship with Active or Current (within 2 years of active) Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility
• Bachelors degree in geography computer science mathematics Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or STEM related field

Recommended Qualifications

• Masters degree in geography computer science mathematics Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or STEM related field
• Programming and scripting experience with Python
• Domain experience around Defense and Intelligence content workflows
• CompTIA Security certification
• Experience with current technology implementation patterns including service-oriented and cloud computing architecture
• Understanding of IT integration concepts such as databases web services webhooks mobile devices configurations web browsers IT system architecture concepts
