Technical Claim Manager - Design Professionals/Construction

Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Claim Manager to join a professional services this role you will handle complex multi-party professional liability claims involving architects engineers and surveyors. Will be responsible for managing claims across a nationwide coverage area requiring strategic thinking detailed investigation and effective attorney management. • Base Salary Range: $115778 - $168746 per year bonus opportunities

• Manage professional liability claims involving design professionals including litigation and pre-litigation disputes.
• Conduct thorough investigations and issue appropriate coverage letters and documentation.
• Assess and analyze coverage issues and pursue risk transfer opportunities including contractual indemnity and additional insured issues.
• Handle claims in accordance with best practices ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
• Collaborate with insureds claimants underwriters and upper management to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Attend mediations and settlement conferences as necessary.

• Education: Bachelors degree in business administration insurance or a related field. A Juris Doctorate with relevant insurance defense litigation experience is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of relevant legal or insurance-related experience with meaningful experience handling design professional claims under professional liability policies.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of case law statutes and procedures impacting claims handling.
  • Proficiency in proactive investigation risk transfer claim handling attorney management and claims resolution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
• Ability to travel as needed for mediations and settlement conferences.
