The Technology Strategy Analyst supports the development and execution of strategic initiatives that improve the effectiveness governance and operational performance of the technology organization. This role helps identify pain points and inefficiencies supports the development of practical solutions and works with team members and leaders to execute plans that address organizational challenges. The role also contributes to recurring strategic and business management processes including strategy documents presentations Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Assist with generating and executing plans to support governance and operational effectiveness across the technology organization.
• Identify organizational pain points inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement through research analysis and stakeholder engagement.
• Work with team members and leaders to develop solutions and execute plans to resolve identified issues.
• Translate ideas and strategic priorities into concrete actions milestones and measurable goals.
• Participate in monthly and quarterly business processes including development of strategy documents leadership presentations Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
• Conduct data analysis and generate insights and materials that support decision-making.
• Prepare clear and effective presentations for senior leaders and stakeholders.
• Support ongoing tracking of strategic initiatives action items and organizational priorities.

• Escalating matters through one of the appropriate channels identified in the CIBC Code of Conduct (i.e. HR management Ethics Hotline Whistleblower etc.) upon observing activities that may be inconsistent with CIBCs policies frameworks guidelines processes and controls
• Speaking up if witnessing behaviors that drive poor or unfair outcomes for clients team members or other stakeholders
• Escalating matters that can result in adverse market practices and outcomes thereby negatively impacting CIBCs reputation as a leading financial institution

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Degree/diploma in Business Finance Computer Science Information Systems Engineering Economics MIS or related field or relevant certifications and/or completion of a relevant bootcamp
• 2-4 years of related experience OR Combination of education and experience ideally within financial services or tech
• Good understanding of banking products services and industry regulations; awareness of current industry trends and developments; familiarity with the banks core systems and processes
• Ability to identify and analyze risks within domain and contribute to risk mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations within domain; stay updated on regulatory changes; assist in compliance reporting as needed; collaborate with Compliance and Audit teams
• In-depth knowledge of emerging technologies and their business applications.
• Driven by success with established business judgement.
• Proactive well-organized and results-oriented.
• Self-starter with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and to work independently.
• Highly motivated perseverant and resilient in pursuing objectives despite challenges.
• Strong verbal and written communication presentation skills sufficient to clearly articulate complex conceptual information and ideas.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to leverage AI tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the role

• Ability to influence senior stakeholders through structured analysis and effective communication
• Ability to take ideas and translate them into concrete steps plans and goals

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role youll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a remote (if non-local) or hybrid work arrangement where youll spend 2 days per week on-site in Chicago while other days may be remote.

At CIBC we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $65000.00 - $75000.00 for the Chicago market based on experience qualifications and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business units incentive compensation plan which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
