Job Summary
JOB SUMMARY:
Provides the highly skilled discipline specific technical skills needed for the successful operation installation and maintenance of the Rigging and Staging elements for assigned Entertainment venues projects events and productions to ensure highest levels of show quality and a positive guest experience.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Installation / strike of staging equipment within the assigned venue project or event. Assists with the preparation loading unloading and transportation of equipment and materials.
- Assisting with the use and operation of staging equipment within the assigned venue project or event.
- Responsible for the appropriate maintenance of rigging and staging equipment under the supervision of the Lead Tech I.
- Operates large vehicles and heavy equipment. Acts as a spotter and provides correct hand signals for vehicles to protect UOs assets.
- Assists in inspecting the department equipment inventory.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Technical school is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Preferred:
- 0-2 years of technical production experience; higher education
CERTIFICATIONS LICENSES REGISTRATIONS:
- A Valid Florida Drivers License is required to operate company vehicles.
- UO (Universal Orlando) provides annual training for heavy equipment operation.
