The incumbent is expected to remain updated on operation and basic troubleshooting technology of all fabrication processes and machine tools. Major Tasks Responsibilities & Key AccountabilitiesLead the team in a production environmentEnsure all operator preventative maintenance procedures are completed as scheduled and maintain Preventative Maintenance logsExecute specified preventative maintenance proceduresMaintain inventory of spare parts and consumables on all processes and machine toolsFacilitate and monitor training programsAble to create and maintain downtime logs error logs strive to improve process quality and efficiencyParticipate in problem solving and cost reduction projects as assignedMust post quality cost delivery and safety metricsAbility to sustain Assembly DepartmentAbility to backfill for direct production duties as necessaryOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma3 years of experience in fabrication manufacturing environmentMust pass any drug screens background checks and any pre-employment tests which will be conducted in accordance with applicable QualificationsAssociates degree or Diploma in Welding Technology1 3 years in a leadership roleFive years of experience in fabrication in a related industry Knowledge Skills Abilities & CompetenciesKnowledge of automated fabrication processesEffective customer service and communication skillsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to be proactiveDemonstrates leadership competencies and skillsSelf-motivated and self-directedAble to work effectively in a team environment through delegationAbility to be flexible in a fast-paced environment; available for overtime Ability to operate the following equipment: CO2 Lasers CNC Bending Presses Welding Robots and CNC Machining Centers Manual and Semi-Auto Welding Processes (SMAW GMAW GTAW)Must wear Personal Protective Equipment as requiredJob ConditionsManufacturing/factory environment.
