Boeing Commercial Airplanesis seeking a Team Lead Assembler to join the Fuse Team working inNorth Charleston South Carolina on 2nd shift!

The Team Lead will be performing tasks in the following areas; pre-shift planning crew meetings team status updates labor loss production control training process improvement and Lean/BPS (Boeing Production System). The candidate must maintain all necessary certifications to perform the job.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts mechanical assemblies sub-assemblies and aircraft systems equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.

  • Builds effective resource plans.

  • Identifies and communicates risks to First Line Leader.

  • Updates and communicates BPS metrics.

  • Identifies KPI improvement actions.

  • Assigns daily work.

  • Leads team in daily safety check-in.

  • Monitors and reports daily progress to plan.

  • Works with support organizations and First Line Leader to mitigate performance risk.

  • Documents and communicates shift turnover.

  • Establishes overtime requirements and staffing.

  • Responsible for monitor and control of 5S.

  • Utilizes Rapid Problem Solving (RPS) and coordinates with Line Side Control Center (LSCC) to address issues.

  • Creates standardized work instructions.

  • Support teammates to improve their job performance including identifying training.

  • Responsible for BPS process improvements.

  • Leads Kamishibai audits and Gemba walks.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Must be able to work 2nd Shift.

  • 1 years of experience with the operations process involving the 787 airplane program.

  • 3 years of experience in aerospace fabrication or manufacturing.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3 years of experience in advising and influencing others to meet quality and safety requirements or resolve technical or operational problems

  • 3 years of experience using Microsoft tools (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint).
