Teaching Assistant Preschool Early Intervention Program

Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania is seeking compassionate energetic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support preschool classrooms serving children ages 35 years. Our programs provide high-quality educational services to young children with diverse developmental needs including autism communication delays physical disabilities and other developmental differences.

The Teaching Assistant plays a vital role in creating a safe nurturing and engaging learning environment by supporting the classroom teacher in implementing daily instructional activities classroom routines and individualized learning opportunities. Working as part of an interdisciplinary team the Teaching Assistant helps children develop communication social-emotional cognitive physical adaptive and pre-academic skills while fostering independence and positive peer interactions.

Teaching Assistants may support an individual child small groups of children or the classroom as a whole based on the needs of the program.

Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education Child Development Special Education or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.
• Experience supporting children with developmental delays or disabilities is preferred.
