Hello Teachers of the Visually Impaired! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time in-person Teacher of the Visually Impaired for the 2026-2027 school year to support students in Aurora CO.

In this role you will provide direct services consultation and collaboration to help students with visual impairments access their curriculum and school environment successfully.

• Provide direct TVI and Orientation & Mobility services to students

• Collaborate with IEP teams teachers related service providers and families

• Support accommodations and accessible educational materials

• Assist with Braille instruction assistive technology and visual access strategies as needed

• Support student mobility navigation and orientation skills across educational environments

• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary collaboration

• Maintain timely documentation and compliance records
  

• Active Colorado CDE certification with Teacher of the Visually Impaired endorsement required

• Masters degree or higher in Special Education Visual Impairment or a related field from an accredited institution

• Orientation and Mobility (O&M) certification preferred not required

• Strong communication organization and collaboration skills

• Passion for supporting students with visual impairments in school-based settings
