Teacher Assistant Personal Care Attendant

We are seeking a compassionate dependable and patient Personal Care Attendant (PCA) to provide one-on-one support to a student with personal care and daily living needs in a school environment. The PCA works under the direction of school administration and special education staff to help ensure the students health safety comfort and successful participation in educational activities while promoting independence and Responsibilities* Provide one-on-one personal care assistance to the assigned student throughout the school day.* Assist with toileting diapering hygiene handwashing dressing and grooming as needed.* Support safe transfers positioning mobility and ambulation using appropriate techniques and equipment.* Assist with feeding hydration and mealtime support following any dietary restrictions or medical guidelines.* Monitor the students health comfort and well-being reporting concerns promptly to the school nurse or appropriate staff.* Maintain student confidentiality in accordance with school policies and applicable privacy regulations.* Encourage independence by providing only the level of assistance necessary.* Assist the student in accessing classrooms school activities and transitions throughout the school day.* Collaborate with teachers therapists nurses and other school personnel to support the students educational and personal care needs.* Maintain accurate documentation of care provided as required.* Follow all district policies safety procedures and emergency protocols.* Perform other related duties as assigned.* Support with transition service in community* Classroom small group support* Assist classroom teacherPhysical Requirements* Frequent standing walking bending kneeling and reaching.* Ability to lift position or transfer students safely in accordance with district guidelines.* Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
