Their client base skews toward mid-affluent individuals and entrepreneurial business owners with investable assets between $1M and $20M. The firm offers investment management and financial planning today and is now building out an in-house tax capability to deliver a truly integrated wealth management experience.
About the Role
The firm is launching a tax practice and looking for a Senior Tax Manager to come in as the founding tax professional. You will work closely with the firms advisers to serve an existing book of clients individuals retirees and entrepreneur-business owners while helping grow an integrated service offering. The work is generalist in nature which means real variety day to day.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review individual business and trust returns for a mix of high-net-worth and mid-affluent clients

Work hand-in-hand with financial advisers on tax planning Roth conversions tax-loss harvesting and ongoing strategy

Advise clients with concentrated positions liquidity events business ownership and real estate on tax-efficient approaches

Serve as the primary tax resource for the firms adviser team and client base

Help define and build the firms tax practice from the ground up processes workflows and client experience

Manage client relationships directly with a focus on proactive communication and responsive service

CPA required

6 years in public accounting ideally at a boutique or mid-sized firm serving high-net-worth individuals and business owners

Generalist background with exposure to individuals trusts and small businesses

Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with clients and advisers

Demonstrated ability to thrive in a remote environment

Self-starter mentality this role requires someone who can operate independently and build not just execute

Base salary: $140000 to $210000 depending on experience

Required Skills:
