Tax Manager

Schedule: Full-Time: 40 hours per week (up to 60 during tax season/as needed)

Compensation: $120000 - $170000 based on experience

Location: Remote in TX TN or FL

Role Overview

As a Tax Manager at DiLucci CPA Firm youll spend the majority of your time doing the work that actually matters most: final review of complex returns direct client communication and close coordination with our planning team to make sure strategy and execution never fall out of sync. You wont be buried in low-level prep work; youll be the last set of eyes that ensures accuracy catches what others miss and turns technical work into real client confidence.

This role will also put genuinely difficult returns in front of you the kind that stretch your technical skill and keep you learning not just repeating the same work year after year. Youll help lead and mentor a tax team thats building real depth and youll have a direct hand in shaping how that team grows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Tax Return division.

  • Conduct final reviews of complex individual partnership and corporate returns for accuracy and compliance.

  • Oversee team workflow ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.

  • Mentor and train preparers planners and reviewers to maintain firm standards.

  • Review and approve tax strategies developed by the Tax Return division.

  • Collaborate with leadership to improve systems processes and efficiency.

  • Address and resolve complex tax issues and questions.

  • Ensure all work reflects the firms values professionalism and attention to detail.

  • Support client relationships through clear communication and technical excellence.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state tax law.


Qualifications
  • CPA license required

  • 10 years of experience in public accounting with significant review and management experience

  • Expertise in complex business and individual returns (partnerships S corps C corps multi-state)

  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. tax laws planning strategies and compliance standards

  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
