OVERVIEW
CMMS CPAs & Advisors PLLC an ATLAS Navigators Firm seeks an experienced Tax Manager to join our Plainview team! This is an exciting opportunity to work with a collaborative and fast-growing CPA firm with offices across multiple states. The Tax Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to clients while also leading internal team members and helping shape the future of our practice. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned clients providing strategic guidance and ensuring exceptional customer service;
Oversee the preparation and review of a wide range of tax returns includingand 1065;
Lead client engagements manage workflow priorities and oversee the allocation of work across team members
Develop and maintain trusted clients relationships while identifying proactive tax planning estate planning and advisory opportunities
Review accounting activities and financial information for assigned clients to ensure accuracy completeness and compliance.
Provide technical guidance and collaborate with team members on complex tax and accounting matters
Identify opportunities to expand client services and communicate recommendations updates and strategic insights effectively.
Monitor engagement profitability through billing oversight WIP management and effective project execution.
Coach mentor and develop team members while driving process improvement and operational efficiency
Contribute to the growth of the firms advisory services strategic initiatives and overall practice development.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax compliance for individuals partnerships and corporations.
Ability to review complex tax returns and identify tax planning opportunities for clients.
Strong client relationship management skills with the ability to serve as a trusted advisor.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain complex tax matters to clients and team members.
Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements competing priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong leadership coaching and team development skills.
Advancedanalytical problem solving and critical thinking abilities.
Strong business judgement and ability to make sound decision in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with tax and accounting software including CCH and QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
Strong understanding of GAAP and tax-basis accounting principles.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
Demonstrated progressive public accounting experience with increasing responsibility in taxpreparation tax review client management and staff development
Minimum 5 years of experience in a Tax Manager orequivalent leadership role withina public accounting firm.
Experience with CCH Axcess and QuickBooks preferred
CPA license CPA eligibility or active pursuit of CPA licensure preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to operate a variety of machines and equipment including computers office equipment telephones etc.Tasks may require extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.
