Job Summary

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join our growing team in Burbank California. The ideal candidate will have 10 years experience strong technical tax expertise excellent analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple client engagements while ensuring compliance with federal state and local tax regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review complex federal and state income tax returns for individuals corporations partnerships and trusts.
  • Conduct tax research and provide recommendations on tax planning opportunities.
  • Assist clients with tax compliance audits notices and inquiries from taxing authorities.
  • Review financial statements and supporting documentation for tax reporting purposes.
  • Prepare tax projections and estimates to help clients make informed financial decisions.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate their impact to clients and management.
  • Mentor and support junior accounting staff and review their work for accuracy.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality service and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
  • CPA license (or actively pursuing CPA certification).
  • 10 years of public accounting or tax accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and California tax laws.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing complex tax returns.
  • Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with multi-state taxation.
