About the Role:

An established advisory and legal platform is seeking a Tax Attorney to lead sophisticated tax planning matters for high-net-worth individuals business owners investors and family principals.

This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys complex individual income tax planning pass-through entity structuring real estate planning and integrated wealth transfer strategies. The position offers significant client interaction and the opportunity to work closely with attorneys CPAs and advisors on sophisticated multi-year planning matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead individual income tax planning for high-net-worth clients
  • Advise on pass-through entity structures Subchapter K and S planning and closely held business matters
  • Draft and implement transactional documents including operating agreements assignments deed transfers and promissory notes
  • Integrate estate planning considerations into broader tax strategies
  • Advise on California residency and multi-state tax planning
  • Conduct technical tax research and prepare planning memoranda
  • Collaborate with CPAs advisors and external professionals on integrated client matters

What Were Looking For:

  • 5 7 years of experience in high-net-worth individual tax planning
  • Strong technical knowledge of individual income tax pass-through entities real estate planning and closely held business structures
  • Experience with California residency and multi-state tax planning
  • Hands-on experience drafting transactional and entity documentation
  • Estate planning knowledge involving trusts gifting and wealth transfer strategies
  • Strong analytical research writing and client communication skills
  • JD and LLM in Taxation required
  • Active California Bar membership required
