Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to manage tax compliance planning and reporting for our multi-state retail operations. This role ensures accurate tax filings while optimizing tax positions within legal parameters.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and collaborate with external auditors to complete federal state and local tax returns for multiple retail entities

- Manage monthly and quarterly tax provisions including calculations and reconciliations

- Monitor tax law changes and assess their impact on company operations

- Coordinate with external auditors during tax examinations

- Maintain tax-related documentation and support schedules

- Ensure compliance with sales tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions

- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize company tax position

- Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary tax information

Required Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or related field

- Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state tax regulations

- Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite

- Experience with ERP systems
