Job Summary
This positionis responsible forcompiling and analyzing reports preparing property fuel and sales taxreturnsand researching tax this positionmaintainsfinancial and confidential tax records for the department.
Focus & Scope
Essential duties and responsibilities i.e. those which are basic necessary and an integral part of the job are indicated below:
- Compiles property fuel salesincomeand related tax reports into a clear logical reports and presents findings to the Tax Manager.
- Prepares property fuel and sales tax a full cycle of return preparation frominceptionto accuracythoroughnessand completeness.
- Analyzes and reconciles real andpersonal propertytax various County Assessors Offices to obtain actual assessment tests and re-calculates assessments discrepancies to the attention of the Tax Manager to determineappropriate resolution.
- Tracks andmaintainsall business and contractor and submits required paperwork to ensure licenses remain in active status.
- Researchesvarious tax issues for the documents research and communicates findings to the Tax Manager.
- Maintains and organizes information to support Federal and California tax credits.
- Assistsin gathering information for property fuel sales and income tax audits.
- Prepares semi-annual political contribution reports. Ensures political limit thresholds are not exceeded as requests are processed.
- Maintains andupdatesvarious financial records and back-up and confidentiality for files and records.

- State and local taxing authorities federal and CA tax agencies state and local licensing agencies and County Assessors offices.

Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Finance Accounting Business or related field or an equivalent combination of training and related experience.
- CPA Certification desired.
Experience & Industry Expertise:
- Minimum2-5years ofexperience in tax accounting and financial compliance or an equivalent combination of training and related experience.
- Thorough knowledge of all relevant federalstateand local requirementsregardingfinancial records and taxesrequired.
- Property Fuel and Sales Tax experience desired.
- Solid knowledge of GAAP corporateaccountingand budgetingdesired.
Specific Job Requirements:
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug alcohol and background investigation.
- Current onallcompany requiredsafety training.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or relatedsoftware.
- Experience with Vista or similar ERP system preferred.
- PTMS Property Tax softwaredesired.
- Mustdemonstrateexcellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to exchange information with others clearly and concisely.

BASE SALARY RANGE:
$90833- $127167
The range displayed reflects the range the company reasonable expects to pay for the position. The actual base salary is subject to variation due to the role level geographic location relevant education training or experience among other factors.
