Tank Welder Helper

Role Overview:

Assist tank welder and mechanics with pressure testing drying out tanks repair tank containers and buffing inside of tank as needed.

Position Responsibilities:

• Pressure test tanks drain and dry out tanks
• Repair and replace tank container valves gaskets and gauges
• Operate hoists cranes and precision measuring and testing instruments
• Observe and listen to mechanical devices to diagnose causes of mechanical issues
• Repair and replace defective parts inspect and adjust used parts
• Lubricate and clean parts
• Operate lathe drill press and grinders
• Use hand tools and power tools
• Buff Tanks as needed

Qualifications:

• Candidates will possess a mechanical background
• Possess good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Detailed oriented

• Ability to wear a respirator be comfortable with both heights on top of tanks
• Work in enclosed spaces inside of tanks
