The NC Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies with more than 14000 employees. It is responsible for safeguarding and preserving lives and property through prevention protection and preparation as well as the care custody and supervision of all adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws. This department includes state prisons with custody healthcare and facility operations staff as well as probation/parole officers who supervised sentenced people in the community. Description of Work

This position provides paraprofessional human resources support within the Talent Acquisition function performing full-cycle recruitment activities for non-certified and hard-to-fill positions across multiple divisions. The role is responsible for creating job postings screening applicants and referring qualified candidates using the States Applicant Tracking System Workday.

This position provides consultative support to hiring managers on recruitment processes job posting development and resolving recruitment-related and system workflow issues. The position ensures compliance with State policies and procedures through regular audits and review of recruitment transactions. Work requires independent judgment in applying established HR policies procedures and recruitment practices.

Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:

  • Experience utilizing an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) preferably Workday to perform recruitment transactions such as job posting creation applicant screening and candidate dispositioning

  • Demonstrated experience applying recruitment policies procedures and guidelines todetermine applicant qualifications and ensure compliance

  • Proven experience troubleshooting workflow or system issues and resolving discrepancies within an HR system or business process

  • Documented background managing multiple recruitment actions simultaneously while providing timely accurate and customer-focused service
