Position Summary

At Metrea we seek out the most complex national security challenges and proactively develop elegant solutions - those solutions start with our people and their ability to deliver mission-critical effects around the world. Our Talent Acquisition team is focused on delivering equally compelling and strategic hiring solutions through deep recruiting expertise consultative partnership and analytical rigor.

In this role you will be a strategy and execution partner within Metreas Aerospace Engineering Group (AERO) one of the fastest growing areas of the enterprise helping to shape and drive the talent engine behind rapid aircraft modification and mission delivery. Embedded within a uniquely integrated ecosystem spanning the Airborne Asset Adaptation (A3) Cell Aircraft Integration Center (AIC) and Aerospace Design (ASD) this role serves as the connective tissue between vision and capability.

This role is well suited to a recruiter with a strong market intelligence mindset - someone who can lead complex searches across specialist talent markets while bringing insight and clarity to hiring leaders and the broader People team. Beyond delivery you will help elevate Metreas capability in talent markets where we are still building depth using market mapping external insight and repeatable hiring approaches to improve how we hire over time.

Success in this role requires someone who thrives in process creation exercises strong judgment and has a track record of delivering complex searches in high-expectation highly specialized stakeholder environments.

What Youll Do

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for highly specialized difficult-to-access technical and operational roles spanning individual contributor specialist and leadership hiring.
  • Build and execute market-informed sourcing strategies across specialist talent pools including aircraft supply chain FAA 21 and 145 environments avionics integration engineering maintenance and production.
  • Develop deep understanding of external talent markets and use data and insight to guide hiring leaders on talent availability market constraints and competitive dynamics.
  • Partner closely with senior stakeholders bringing clear recommendations thoughtful challenge and sound judgment throughout the hiring process.
  • Develop targeted pipelines through direct sourcing market mapping and proactive relationship-building across niche talent pools.
  • Strengthen Metreas capability in emerging talent markets through market mapping insight sharing and the development of repeatable hiring approaches.
  • Guide hiring managers through structured and high-quality selection processes leveraging data to improve decision-making and candidate experience.
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruitment practices search methodology and pipeline strategies for specialist hiring.

What Youll Bring

  • Relevant in-house or search experience delivering highly specialized and difficult-to-fill roles ideally within technical operational engineering or industrial environments.
  • Proven track record of leading complex searches across niche talent markets.
  • Strong sourcing capability with demonstrated success in building pipelines in unfamiliar underdeveloped or highly competitive talent markets.
  • A market intelligence mindset with the ability to map talent pools identify target organizations assess talent availability and translate external insight into hiring strategy.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills with the ability to build trust and credibility with senior hiring leaders and candidates alike.
  • Strong judgment in balancing rigor with flexibility across different search types and business needs.
  • Experience improving hiring capability through insight-sharing process enhancement and structured search approaches.
  • Experience managing multi-stage high-touch recruitment processes across complex stakeholder groups.
  • Experience with Greenhouse or other applicant tracking systems.
  • Prior aviation aerospace manufacturing or engineering hiring experience is advantageous but not essential.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time non-exempt position with typical working hours Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available as business needs require.
