YOUR IMPACT: HOW YOULL HELP US HEAL A BROKEN SYSTEM

Verse Medical is scaling fast and our Talent function needs to scale with it. As Talent Manager youll build and lead the team that closes our roles. Youll own the day to day execution of our recruiting engine hire and develop the recruiters and sourcers who report to you and partner directly with leadership so we have the right people in place when we need them.

This is a zero-to-one opportunity. Youre building the team and the playbook not inheriting either one. This role is for someone who thrives on ambiguity wants the responsibility of developing other recruiters and is ready to leave a mark on how Verse Medical hires for years to come.

WHAT YOULL ACHIEVE: A GLIMPSE INTO YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS

Within your first year youll have the opportunity to:

• Team Leadership & Development: Directly manage coach and grow a team of recruiters and sourcers. Set clear goals give real-time feedback and build a culture of accountability and high performance.

• Executive & Critical Searches: Personally lead full-cycle recruitment for your teams most senior specialized or sensitive roles acting as closer when it counts.

• Strategic Workforce Planning: Partner with department leaders and the executive team on org design headcount planning and market-informed hiring strategy.

• Process & Systems Ownership: Own and continuously improve our hiring lifecycle: structured interview design employer branding and how we use Ashby BrightHire and Juicebox. The goal is a function that scales without breaking.

• Data-Driven Reporting: Own pipeline forecasting and compensation benchmarking and translate recruiting metrics into clear actionable updates for leadership.

• Candidate Experience at Scale: Champion obsessive candidate care across the org ensuring every interaction reflects our mission and values.

WHAT YOULL BRING: THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOULL NEED

• 6 years of full-cycle recruiting experience or equivalent experience including direct experience managing mentoring or leading other recruiters

• A track record of building and scaling a recruiting function ideally in a fast-paced high-growth startup; healthcare or health-tech experience is a strong plus

• Demonstrated success hiring and developing high-performing recruiting talent

• Excellent communication stakeholder management and negotiation skills

• Comfort operating with real ambiguity and building process rather than just following it

• A passion for our mission and for making an impact in healthcare

Work Environment & Location: Based in our New York City office in Chelsea hybrid with 4 days/week in-office.
