As a Talent Acquisition Advisor (Recruiter I) you will partner with other HR professionals campus leaders and search committees throughout their recruitment journey. Our team provides support to all divisions and colleges across campus and is currently growing its services.

In this role you would be responsible for providing standard routine guidance and recommending resources to hiring departments and other stakeholders throughout the full talent acquisition cycle. This role also involves completing a high-volume of transactional daily work such as creating reviewing and approving requisitions and offers in alignment with university standard operating procedures. Your goal will be to support hiring departments in establishing and promoting effective fair and consistent TA operational processes designed to attract and retain top talent.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Creates reviews and approves requisitions and offers in alignment with university standard operating procedures as well as ensures accuracy of data entry.
  • Ensures the entire talent acquisition/recruitment process is compliant with university processes policies guidelines and contractual obligations as well as applicable local state and federal laws and regulations covering a variety of topics including but not limited to equal employment opportunity compensation and benefits.
  • Conducts intake meetings with hiring managers senior HR partners and/or generalists to understand roles to be filled and develop profiles of ideal candidates.
  • Provides guidance and recommends resources to hiring departments throughout the search process including but not limited to guidance on how to build an optimal interview experience and develop interview questions.
  • Participates in search committees executive search firm selection processes and other special committees supporting talent acquisition and institutional compliance.
  • Contributes to the development and analysis of quarterly hiring trend reports and talent acquisition metrics for assigned clients (e.g. time-to-fill candidate yield ratio turnover and diversity composition).
  • Supports identification of root cause issues with stale or under-qualified applicant pools through analysis of the position and feedback from hiring department. May propose reclassification of position to generalist based on analysis.
  • Supports creation of high impact recruitment marketing campaigns for technical and hard-to-fill roles.
  • Assists with the development of new training tools and resources to enhance learning and support their effective practical application for clients and other user audiences.
  • Assists with training new talent acquisition professionals generalists and hiring departments as needed.
  • Identifies opportunities to optimize business processes systems and guidelines. Submits recommendations to Talent Acquisition Team Leadership.
  • Assists with social media content and other advertising efforts in support of the talent acquisition process (e.g. LinkedIn Canva Instagram etc.)
  • Assists with the planning and logistics of recruitment events and in management of outreach efforts (both in-person and virtual).
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of key human resources principles talent acquisition best practices and relevant employment laws and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
  • 1 year of relevant work experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous work experience in a HR setting.
  • Previous work experience in a college or university setting.
  • Previous experience using an applicant tracking system and HRIS.
  • Two or more years of direct customer service experience.
  • SHRM-CP SHRM-SCP PHR or SPHR certification.
  • Two or more years in talent acquisition.
